Senior Estimator

• Seeking a senior estimator with 8+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility‑level documentation.
• Skilled in preparing detailed estimates and developing variance summaries and value engineering studies as design progresses.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams to determine staffing needs and project requirements.
• Strong understanding of unit costs and the factors that influence construction cost.
• Experience with the full bidding process, including soliciting bids, communicating with bidders, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and preparing bid tally sheets.
• Experience participating in RFP responses and formal project presentations.
• Ability to build and maintain business relationships with new and existing customers.
• Capable of leading the preparation and presentation of cost and budget information to owners and clients.
• Ability to lead and facilitate value engineering sessions with project and design teams.
• Familiarity with reviewing construction contracts and identifying key insurance and damages clauses.
• A flexible, detail‑oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce high‑quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Win Est, Timberline, or similar), take‑off software (On‑Screen Takeoff or similar), BIM tools (Revit, Assemble, etc.), project management software (CMiC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
• 8+ years of experience as a commercial construction estimator, preferably within core markets similar to those served by the company.

Senior estimators will work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors and must demonstrate the following capabilities:

• Manage the project from the first estimate through subcontract finalization.
• Look beyond the information provided, ask the right questions, and deliver a complete project cost evaluation.
• Serve as a collaborative and passionate advocate for customers, empowering and informing them throughout the project.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex issues related to cost, lead times, trade partners, and specified materials or products.
• Make reliable cost predictions and comfortably estimate across all scopes of work.
• Assemble a presentation‑ready estimate package that clearly communicates project cost.
• Prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade‑specific clarifications, and comprehensive bid packages.
• Make subcontractor award recommendations to owners and participate in subcontract negotiation and finalization.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of cost and budget information to owners and clients.
• Lead, manage, and motivate project teams during the preconstruction phase.
