Our client, a state organization, is looking to hire a Senior Cloud Architect in Downey, CA.

Downey, CA (Hybrid - 2-3 days/week onsite)
Duration:
Contract - 12+ months
Pay Rate Range: $60–$80/hr (depending on experience)

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud network architectures across AWS and Azure environments
• Build highly available, fault‑tolerant, multi‑region and multi‑AZ network solutions with failover and resiliency strategies
• Configure hybrid connectivity using AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Express Route, and Megaport services (VXC provisioning)
• Manage traffic flow, routing optimization, and performance across distributed cloud networks
• Deploy and maintain load balancers, virtual firewalls, and cloud‑native/network security controls

• 6+ years of cloud network engineering experience across AWS and Azure
• Hands‑on expertise with hybrid connectivity, BGP, VPC/VNet peering, and multi‑cloud architectures
• Strong experience with network security (Security Groups, NSGs, ACLs, firewalls, NVA appliances)
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering + relevant certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Network Engineer; CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred)
