• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least 21 years of age at the time of appointment
• No felony convictions
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid California Class C Driver's License at time of appointment

As a Deputy Probation Officer I, you will:

• Support and mentor youth in juvenile halls and residential treatment facilities
• Build trust and inspire change through consistent casework and guidance
• Help youth develop life skills and reach their full potential
• Apply evidence-based practices to promote rehabilitation and personal growth
• Maintain safety, order, and dignity through professional conduct and, when necessary, physical intervention
