Salary: $65,430–$83,516 annually
Location: Los Angeles County, CA
The LA County Probation Department is seeking compassionate and motivated professionals committed to youth rehabilitation, public safety, and community transformation. As part of a Care First, Jails Last movement, you’ll play a key role in guiding youth toward healthier, safer futures.
What You’ll Do:- Supervise and mentor youth in residential or detention environments
- Support rehabilitation through casework, behavioral coaching, and life‑skills development
- Maintain safety, structure, and consistency in daily programming
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Serve as a sworn Peace Officer under California Penal Code 830.5
- Bachelor’s degree
- Age 21+
- No felony convictions
- Valid CA driver's license
- Ability to meet Peace Officer standards and pass a comprehensive background check
