ResponsibilitiesThe position will implement behavior intervention plans that support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs on a school site, including the classroom, small groups, and 1:1 settings.
Required Knowledge and Competencies- Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and services.
- Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Technicians.
- Basic theories, concepts, and interventions of behavioral/social-emotional disorders.
- Data collection techniques and tools.
- Standard and instructional computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Suites, Google Drive, and Aeries).
- Crisis management techniques.
- Analyzing & Interpreting Data – Drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data.
- Critical Thinking – Analytically and logically evaluating information, propositions, and claims.
- Decision Making – Choosing optimal courses of action in a timely manner.
- Environmental Exposure Tolerance – Performing under physically demanding conditions.

Education and Experience
Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required.
Experience:
Three years of experience providing behavioral intervention and management services to children with emotional disability or behavioral challenges in a school setting.
Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) is desired. A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required. Drivers may be required to travel between sites.
