Position

Registered Behavioral Technician – $28.61 to $35.51 Hourly.

Location

Current vacancies at Los Padrinos (7285 Quill Dr, Downey, CA 90242) and Camp Kilpatrick (427 Encinal Canyon Rd, Malibu, CA 90265). Eligibility list may also fill vacancies at other sites.

Responsibilities

The position will implement behavior intervention plans that support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs on a school site, including the classroom, small groups, and 1:1 settings.

Required Knowledge and Competencies
  • Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and services.
  • Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Technicians.
  • Basic theories, concepts, and interventions of behavioral/social-emotional disorders.
  • Data collection techniques and tools.
  • Standard and instructional computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Suites, Google Drive, and Aeries).
  • Crisis management techniques.
  • Analyzing & Interpreting Data – Drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data.
  • Critical Thinking – Analytically and logically evaluating information, propositions, and claims.
  • Decision Making – Choosing optimal courses of action in a timely manner.
  • Environmental Exposure Tolerance – Performing under physically demanding conditions.

Required

Education and Experience

Education:

Graduation from high school or equivalent. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required.

Experience:

Three years of experience providing behavioral intervention and management services to children with emotional disability or behavioral challenges in a school setting.

Additional Requirements

Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) is desired. A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required. Drivers may be required to travel between sites.
