About This Role

The Seasonal Emergency Department RN provides professional nursing care as a leader of the healthcare team, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

• Pay: $70 - $74/hour
• Location: Downey, CA
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full Time

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Understand and elevate issues within the team's scope of practice.
• Mentor, orient, and coach others in unit-specific operations.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

• Experienced level required

• Current RN License in California
• BLS certification required
