Specialty Unit Staff RN - Hospital - SDU Part Time Nights

About This Role

The Specialty Unit Staff RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

• Pay: $58 - $80/hour
• Location: Downey, CA
• Facility: Downey Medical Center
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and health care team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

Education:

• Registered Nurse License (California)

Experience:

• 1-year recent experience in a Critical Care, DOU, or SDU setting

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic Arrhythmia course required
• Ventilator training required
