About This Role

The Staff RN in the Med Surg Stroke unit provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. This role is ideal for those who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

• Pay: $67 - $92/hour
• Location: Downey, CA
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Schedule: Per Diem, Nights

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Understand own and team members' scope of practice and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care.
• Monitor the patient's progress based on the care plan.
• Revise care plans based on patient condition and evaluation of progress.
• Ensure effective development and completion of discharge plans.
• Ensure patient safety related to medications and procedures.
• Chart accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
