The Staff RN in Med Surg Oncology provides professional nursing care as a leader of the healthcare team, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures and applicable laws.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Understand own and team members' scope of practice and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patients' progress based on the care plan.
• Ensure effective development and completion of discharge plans.
• Ensure patient safety related to medications and procedures.
• Document accurately and legibly, reflecting nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Practice customer service standards as defined by the Medical Center.
