Summary
The Service Technician L2B is responsible for diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Schedule- A 4‑week rotating schedule: three weeks of four 10‑hour days, and one week of three 10‑hour days plus one 9‑hour day.
- Position is 100% on‑site.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Carry out a variety of vehicle repairs, from oil changes to complete rebuilds.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform required repairs.
- Document all work performed and findings on repair orders and inspection sheets.
- Duplicate and document guest concerns, record diagnostic test results, isolate causes, document corrections, and verify repairs.
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Road‑test vehicles to verify quality of work.
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Maintain communication with Service Advisor/Assistant Service Manager when additional work is needed, when a work outline is unnecessary, or when repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Complete all work in accordance with applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
- Achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Provide administrative assistance necessary for warranty repair orders and other management tasks.
- Maintain communication with Parts Department regarding parts status.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Keep the assigned workspace organized and clean.
- Maintain high levels of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
- Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by service management.
- Adhere to high ethical standards in all actions.
- Stand for prolonged periods.
- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with arms and legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry objects, using hands and arms for handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
- At least 2 years of Toyota technician experience, or
- 3 years of equivalent service technician experience, or
- Equivalent current off‑brand manufacturer certifications
- Completion of at least two of the ASE sets listed:
- Suspension & Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5)
- Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6) and Heating & Air Conditioning (A7)
- Engine Performance (A8) and Engine Repair (A1)
- Transmission/Transaxle (A2) and Manual Drive Train & Axles (A3)
- Maintain factory‑required certifications and trainings.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, maintenance, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Strong basic mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Ability to operate manual‑transmission vehicles and troubleshoot operating errors.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, legal documents, and coordinate activities with other employees.
- Attention to detail, and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in English.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable, safe driving record.

Base hourly rate of $16.90 plus bonus compensation based on individual productivity; the bonus can range from $0.00 if baseline benchmarks are not met, with no upper limit.
