Overview
Volunteer Services is currently seeking adult and student volunteers. We have three categories of volunteers:
High School (at least 16 years old, including sophomores), College, and Adults (primarily not in school). When applying, please indicate which category you are.
- Act as a liaison between the patient/visitor and the hospital to determine and help resolve patients’ non-medical needs and concerns during their ED visit.
- Provide comfort and compassionate listening while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Promote good public relations within the community.
- Must be 18 years or older for this opportunity, or be eligible under the specified volunteer categories (High School 16+; College and Adults).
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and strive to make a difference.
