Assistant Mail Center Coordinator
The Assistant Mail Center Coordinator is a part-time position, working 25 hours per week in the University's Mail Center to work in cooperation and under the supervision of the Mail Center Coordinator, at Delaware Valley University to receive, scan in, sort, distribute and oversee delivery of mail and packages received for faculty, staff and students and to provide United States Postal Service services for faculty, staff, students and the public.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working Conditions and Frequently Used Tools:
- Uses of postage meter, scanning device hardware (iPad), laptop computer, copier equipment
- Stockroom or warehouse
- Intermittently sitting, standing, stooping
- Typically standing or waking
- Occasionally lifting of 25 – 50 pounds
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to accurately calculate postage pricing and make change
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Administrative and organizational ability
Required Education, Experience and License:
- Requires high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Some related USPS experience is preferred
- One (1) year of customer service preferred
- Clean driving record and able to pass a safe driver background check
This position is not eligible for benefits. The selected applicant will be responsible for providing the university with a Pennsylvania State Police Clearance that's not older than 5 years, pass a Motor Vehicle history check and pass a physical and lift exam.
