Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to deliver high-quality in-store lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. In this part-time role, you will design engaging lesson plans, teach private and small group lessons, and help students prepare for performances and auditions. You'll partner with store staff to schedule lessons, support student retention, and recommend appropriate instruments and accessories.

Ideal candidates bring strong performance skills, prior teaching experience, and a commitment to student success in a collaborative, student-focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in-store
• Develop lesson plans aligned with student goals, school programs, and performance needs
• Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Prepare students for school performances, auditions, and ensemble participation
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson scheduling and student retention
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to students and parents
• Document attendance, progress notes, and student records accurately
• Participate in recitals, events, and community outreach to promote music education
• Align teaching practices with Music & Arts standards and policies
