Responsible for performing a variety of duties depending on assignment. These duties include, but are not limited to: direct patient care, triaging phone calls, and patient outreach, and care coordination, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks
- Assess, plan, implement, document, coordinate, and manage patient care at the direction of the physician giving consideration to age-specific accommodations.
- Communicates and collaborates with patients, physicians, family members, and other health care disciplines in order to achieve excellence in patient care during hospitalization.
- Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence-based guidelines and OSHA Patient Safety Goals.
- Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.
- Maintains clinical competency according to unit-specific standards.
Licensed Practical Nurse (Required) Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required) Other Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. 1-2 years experience in direct patient care Successful completion of appropriate continuing education specific to job requirements
