POSITION SUMMARY:

As a valued member of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, the cashier will conduct transactions, handle money responsibly and provide customer service for pool patrons. Reports directly to the Head Cashier and Pool Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates POS system, handles and counts money and completes daily/weekly financial reports and any others as required.
• Cleans and maintains the cashier office including all equipment according to operational instructions and safety procedures.
• Supervises patrons and enforces rules.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Acts as gatekeeper for incoming patrons, checking pool tags, issuing registrations and collecting admissions fees.
• When needed, monitors pool water slide.
• Performs a variety of maintenance tasks.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated and personable.
• Must enjoy working with the public, able to handle adverse conditions and manage conflict in a professional manner.
• Cashier experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule up to but not exceeding 40 hours/week including weekends, holidays, evenings (weather dependent).
• Willing to work after-hour events.
• Able to operate POS system and to perform mathematical skills required for making change, calculating change and completing financial reports.
• Current FBI Fingerprint, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal Background Check clearances as required by law.
