Salary: $57,680 to $116,997 Per Year
Position OverviewTo improve the reading and writing skills of Title I eligible students and guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their individual potential for personal and professional success.
Responsibilities- Improve Title I eligible students’ reading and writing skills.
- Improve students’ ability to answer open-response questions.
- Provide students with portfolio-worthy activities and projects.
- Improve students’ research and writing skills through the use of technology.
- Expose students to Young Adult Literature.
- Develop curriculum materials that align with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Communicate with parents about students’ progress.
- Work collegially with peers, administrators, and other school staff.
- Attend a mandatory new hire orientation on August 18‑20, 2026 at Greater Lowell.
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Reading Instructor or possess the minimum qualifications to be eligible for licensure.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
