Special Education Teacher - Elementary STRIVE; ASD Program

Position: Special Education Teacher - Elementary STRIVE (ASD) Program
The Campbell Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary STRIVE substantially separate program for students with autism spectrum disorder for the upcoming  school year.

A certification in Severe Disabilities is preferred, but certifications in Moderate Disabilities will be considered.

Essential responsibilities:

* Provide specialized instruction to students in a Special Education setting

* Have a strong understanding of developmental milestones and modified curriculum at the elementary level

* Experience and general understanding of the concepts of Applied Behavioral Analysis

* Experience with being part of the instructional support team, including classroom teachers, auxiliary support service providers, BCBA and paraprofessionals

* Experience with IEP drafting and progress monitoring through the collection of data

* Experience with assessment and eligibility determination

* Strong organization, writing and communication skills

Other responsibilities:

* Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.

* Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.

* Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

* Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.

* Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g. instructional technology)
