Job Description

Brookside Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Preschool Teacher to lead our Intensive Special Education Preschool classroom. We are seeking a professional with a passion for fostering a love of learning in our youngest students through a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expertise in child development and early childhood curriculum.
  • Understanding of disabilities that affect communication, motor skills, social skills, and behavior.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing the special education process, including evaluations and IEP development.

Welcome to Brookside Elementary School

Brookside Elementary School serves preschool through fifth grade students. Most grade levels have 3-4 classrooms depending on class sizes. We also house the RISE program, which serves students who are developing independent life skills. Our enrollment for the 2021-22 school year is approximately 490 students. As an educational community, we focus on our PAWS philosophy. We believe if students demonstrate the values below they will become highly successful learners and community members.

The Brookside Parent – Teacher Organization (PTO) also fosters our sense of community. We welcome our parents/guardians and/or volunteers into the school. The PTO and School Council work cooperatively with the administration and staff to improve the quality of education and academic success for our students.
