Onsite, Draper, UT. Hybrid option after 90 days. Full-time, Monday‑Friday with flexible start times.

Compensation

Salary: $105,000–$120,000. Compensation is based on experience, scores on skills assessments, education, and credentials.

Overview

Incite Tax is looking for a Director of Accounting to lead, develop, and elevate their bookkeeping team. This full‑time, onsite leadership position is located in Draper, UT and is not client‑facing. The role focuses on building the team and systems that enable excellent client outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and grow Bookkeepers; ensure the team feels supported, held accountable, and empowered to fulfill their roles.
  • Continuously evaluate workflows and implement improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency across the department. Participate in BK Council meetings and bring proactive ideas to the table.
  • Own department huddles and high‑level training sessions. Define and uphold the standard for clean books, accurate financial reporting, and excellent client‑ready deliverables.
  • Review bookkeeping data entry and clean‑up projects performed by staff to ensure the highest level of service across all clients.
  • Verify bookkeeping pricing and oversee the estimation of clean‑up projects to keep the department profitable and sustainable.
  • Monitor the BK Review Pool and staff capacity, stepping in to provide high‑level support and decision‑making when team members are out of the office.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience – required.
  • Proven experience supervising or mentoring bookkeeping staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in full‑cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, complex account clean‑ups, and Quick Books or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and follow‑up skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast‑moving environment while staying connected to the team.
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys being part of a culture that takes the work seriously but not itself.
