Purchasing Agent
Position Overview:
This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of tasks pertaining to the purchasing department and other office support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will procure all types of materials required for company operations
- Will place bids and ensure competitive pricing on all materials
- Will make arrangements for deliveries to the requestor
- Will track and maintain the procurement process of all materials
- Other duties will be assigned as needed within the purchasing department.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/
Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge/Skill Preferences:
Basic Viewpoint system knowledge. Previous procurement experience. Basic knowledge of truck terminology and equipment.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 25 lbs. Physical agility test may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment:
The employee is rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
