Construction Manager

EDGEhomes, Utah’s premier home builder is hiring a full-time Construction Manager to join our team.

Oversee single and multi-family residential construction projects from pre-construction meetings with buyers to final walk through and occupancy.

• Work directly with buyers, agents, subcontractors and cities to cultivate relationships of trust and ensure on time and accurate project completion.
• Discover, analyze, and resolve time sensitive issues with buyers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Daily site visits to all assigned projects and daily assessment of schedule targets, quality specifications, buyer upgrades, utilities.
• Ensure a positive buyer experience through pre-construction meeting, buyer orientation meeting, weekly buyer walk-throughs and final sign off. Field activities including inspecting, coordination of needed on-site construction activities and daily transportation.
• Manage variances in specifications and subcontractor required work and changes to contracts and pricing.
• Manage buyer expectations, custom options, change orders, sweat equity, schedules, inspections, on site safety, cleanliness, and quality controls.
• Ability to proactively assess and actively resolve any discrepancies or variances that may impact the project.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 2-5 years construction management experience
• Advanced knowledge and experience with residential construction plans, codes, quality controls, schedules, and safety.
• Experience working with buyers and sales agents and excellent customer reviews.
• Proficient with technology and ability to use technology including iPads, smart phones, scheduling software, Microsoft programs, etc.
• Valid driver license and access to personal transportation

• Extended standing and walking is required for floor inspections
• Frequent bending, crawling, squatting, and moving
• Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
• Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery and equipment
• Frequent talking including employee training and conducting meetings. One must have the ability to convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
