Staker Parson Materials & Construction, a CRH company, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager (Heavy Civil / Alternative Delivery) to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex transportation and heavy civil infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for managing project scope, budget, schedule, risk, client relationships, subcontractors, and project teams while supporting alternative delivery methods such as CM/GC, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and other collaborative procurement models.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical construction expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities.
- Collaborate with owners, engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Participate in alternative delivery pursuits, proposal development, and preconstruction services.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and resource plans.
- Monitor project performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements, company objectives, and client expectations.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Oversee contract administration, change order management, and claims avoidance efforts.
- Ensure adherence to CRH, OSHA, MSHA, and applicable regulatory safety standards.
- Review and approve project budgets, estimates, pay applications, and project reporting.
- Coordinate quality control and quality assurance activities throughout project execution.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, municipalities, DOT agencies, and industry partners.
- Support business development initiatives and future project pursuits.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project status to management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive heavy civil construction project management experience.
- Experience managing transportation, highway, bridge, airport, paving, utility, earthwork, or infrastructure projects.
- Design-Build
- CM/GC (Construction Manager/General Contractor)
- Progressive Design-Build
- Public-Private Partnerships (P3)
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
