SummaryWe are currently seeking a Land Surveyor to join our team! The Land Surveyor will provide surveying expertise to support the planning, design, and construction of high-voltage transmission, distribution, and substation projects. This role is responsible for conducting accurate field surveys, preparing detailed maps and reports, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements, and supporting engineering and construction teams with precise data for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities What You'll Do- Surveying and Data Collection
- Conduct boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment to collect accurate field data.
- Record and verify survey measurements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide staking for line routes, structures, foundations, and other project features.
- Project Support
- Prepare survey maps, plats, and reports for use in design, permitting, and construction.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements.
- Verify as-built conditions and prepare final survey documentation for project closeout.
- Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies in design documents and field conditions.
- Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensure survey activities comply with local, state, and federal requirements as well as company standards.
- Maintain accurate survey records and ensure they are properly filed for future reference.
