About the role
In this role, you will join our data engineering and AI team, that focuses on managing our data warehouse, as well as driving AI based innovation within the organization. Our ideal candidate leverages their leadership, technical expertise, and passion to multiply the overall output of the organization, while helping enable products that drive business value for our partners. This role will also help define the direction, focus, and execution for these key areas of our architecture.
We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of data engineering with a passion for speed, quality, performance, and scale. You also love to solve operational problems and stand up infrastructure that helps your team effectively manage their environments and deploy easily.
What you ll do- Use DBT to build out models that drive AI products, and business value
- Design the future state of our data infrastructure by combining a strategic understanding of our highest level product goals with a deep understanding of our existing systems to inform the right technical and product tradeoffs for both short and long term
- Contribute to the exploration of what is possible with new frontier models
- Collaborate on our technical vision
- Continuously improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems that allow us to scale the code base, productivity, and the team
- Proactively engage with your peers and managers to provide and solicit feedback
- 5+ years of data engineering experience preferred
- Experience working with data engineering tools like DBT
- Passionate about speed, efficiency, availability, system quality and user experience
- A track record of shipping high-quality data products
- An ability to turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with star schema and/or other data warehouse methodologies
- Athena, DBT, golang, postgres, mssgl, looker enterprise
