Job Description & How to Apply Below
Tru Path Home Loans is hiring a full-time, in-office Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to support experienced, high-producing Loan Officers. This is a front-end, inbound support role: you own the application and pre-approval process so our LOs can stay focused on relationships and strategy, not paperwork.
If you enjoy guidelines, creative but justified income calcs, and solving “how do we make this work?” puzzles, you’ll like this job.
What’s in it for you- Realistic earnings:
Salary + bonus/commission is expected between $65,000 to $115,000 based on performance and experience. - All inbound work:
You support established Loan Officers. They handle ~95% of the client and agent communication. - Tight-knit team:
Work in-office with an experienced operations and LP team that cares about doing things right the first time. - Growth path:
The company is growing and has many different opportunities for the future. This is our first dedicated LOA role, which is why we’re looking for a rockstar. Your input will shape the position, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Set up new files and pre-approvals: pull credit, structure the loan, review income and asset documentation.
- Research niche products and solutions so the LO can present strong options to clients (LO will always review the file to confirm).
- Submit qualified files to Processing – they will take it to the finish line.
- Help the LO follow up with preapprovals that are shopping, warm leads, and referrals that haven’t applied yet.
- For files that don’t qualify today, map out a clear game plan for the LO so the client knows exactly what to do next.
- The better you are, the more you’ll push the loan officers to find more business because they know you can handle it – and that’s the goal of this position.
- You’re an experienced LO, LOA, or "LP1" who has seen a lot of loans, and prefers the financial aspect of mortgage over the sales / realtor side.
- You like being the person who knows the guidelines, the numbers, and the details.
- You prefer stable income with upside (salary + bonus) over 100% commission pressure.
- You enjoy working in-office with your team rather than being on an island.
- You work more when there’s work to be done, rather than clocking off at a certain time. This is a role where demands can change very quickly.
- You feel you’ve plateaued, or limited by your current company, and you’re wanting a new challenge.
- 2+ years experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant, or Mortgage Processor.
- Comfortable with basic loan programs and requirements (Conventional, FHA minimum. VA/DPA/Non-QM a plus).
- MLO License in Utah or willing to obtain in a short timeframe.
- Comfortable working in-office in Draper, UT Monday-Friday.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass standard background checks.
Click “Apply” and attach your resume.
