What does the Senior Retirement Plan Benefits Analyst do at
The Senior Retirement Plan Benefits Analyst manages the day-to-day administration of Swire Coca-Cola's retirement programs, including 401(k), union pension, and non-qualified plans, while serving as the owner of the Financial Wellbeing program portfolio. Working with limited oversight, this role manages multiple programs simultaneously, resolves complex issues and sensitive escalations, partners with internal and external stakeholders on retirement policies and practices, and identifies opportunities to enhance retirement and financial wellbeing programs through process improvements and emerging industry trends.
Responsibilities:- Manages day-to-day administration, governance, and vendor coordination for retirement programs, including 401(k), union pension, and non-qualified plans; partners with Labor Relations on union pension provisions and collective bargaining agreement implications.
- Owns Swire Coca-Cola's Financial Wellbeing programs, including vendor management, employee engagement, program administration, and effectiveness measurement.
- Coordinates annual audits and non-discrimination testing, analyzes findings, and communicates results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Partners with external ERISA counsel on plan interpretation, compliance matters, plan document updates, and regulatory requirements affecting retirement programs.
- Collaborates with Payroll on retirement contributions, loan repayments, funding file processing, issue resolution, and process improvements.
- Conducts audits of retirement plan deductions and employer match processing within Dayforce, identifies discrepancies, and recommends corrective actions.
- Resolves complex employee and executive escalations and exceptions; prepares analyses, options, and recommendations for leadership review.
- Supports Retirement Committee governance through meeting participation, scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and related administrative activities.
- Identifies recurring issues and drives improvements to retirement and financial wellbeing programs, processes, and systems.
- Represents retirement and financial wellbeing operations in cross-functional meetings, vendor governance forums, and other stakeholder engagements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, including 401(k) and qualified plan operations required.
- Coursework in ERISA, retirement plan administration, or ERISA fiduciary responsibility preferred.
- CEBS, CBP, or RPA designation preferred.
- Experience with union pension and non-qualified retirement plans preferred.
- Experience managing external vendors, auditors, consultants, ERISA counsel, and supporting a retirement plan committee preferred.
- Working knowledge of retirement plan administration, including 401(k), union pension, and non-qualified plans; ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations; retirement plan audits and non-discrimination testing;
Financial Wellbeing programs; and collective bargaining agreement implications. - Experience interpreting complex plan documents, applying plan provisions to individual and systemic issues, preparing analyses and recommendations for leadership review, and driving process, system, and plan improvements.
