Corner Canyon Health Centers is a Residential Treatment program for adults experiencing mental health concerns of all forms. We specialize in trauma and with the LGBTQIA+ population.
The Client Mentor – Grave Shift is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive residential treatment environment during overnight hours. This role ensures client safety, enforces program policies and procedures, and responds effectively to crises while promoting trauma‑informed care principles.
The Client Mentor serves as the first responder to overnight incidents, collaborates closely with the Grave Lead and House Manager, and ensures accurate documentation and communication between shifts. This position plays a vital role in preserving emotional safety, maintaining program structure, and supporting continuity of care.

ResponsibilitiesOvernight Supervision & Safety: Monitor the residential facility during graveyard hours to ensure client safety, adherence to program expectations, and compliance with house rules and safety protocols.
Facility Cleanliness & Environment of Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly facility throughout the shift to promote client healing, emotional regulation, and overall safety. Complete assigned cleaning tasks, address sanitation concerns, and ensure common areas, client spaces, and staff work areas meet Corner Canyon standards and infection‑control protocols.
Crisis Response: Serve as first responder to crises, behavioral escalations, medical concerns, or safety incidents, implementing de‑escalation strategies and established emergency procedures.
Trauma‑Informed Care: Maintain a structured and emotionally safe environment that supports trauma‑informed care principles and protects the culture of safety for clients and staff.
Medication Administration: Dispense medications and complete related documentation in accordance with Corner Canyon protocols and training requirements.
Urinalysis/Breathalyzer Administration: Conduct breathalyzer & urine analysis screenings and accessioning per established procedures.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate and timely staff logs, incident reports, documentation, and compliance tracking to ensure seamless communication between shifts.
Shift Communication: Relay critical information to the Grave Lead and incoming staff regarding client behaviors, incidents, schedule updates, and follow‑up needs.
Schedule Management: Update and maintain the Daily Client Schedule to reflect groups, individual sessions, screenings, appointments, and other programming adjustments.
Transportation Support: Transport clients in accordance with Corner Canyon protocols and insurance requirements when assigned.
Problem‑Solving & Decision‑Making: Address and resolve unforeseen shift dilemmas in collaboration with the Grave Lead, Supervisors, or House Manager as appropriate.

Collaboration:
Build strong working relationships with peers and leadership to promote teamwork, efficiency, and consistent program delivery.
Training & Meetings: Attend required staff meetings/trainings, and maintain all assigned certifications and competencies.
Administrative Support: Assist Leads, Supervisors, and House Manager with assigned administrative or special projects as needed.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Experience in the behavioral health field is preferred.
- Crisis management and de‑escalation experience preferred.
- Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsive throughout overnight shifts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- Proficiency in documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting systems.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of clients and facility operations.
Certifications & Requirements:
- Must pass a background screening through the Department of Health and Human Services, with annual renewal.
- Valid driver’s license with at least 4 years of driving experience and approval to drive company vehicles through insurance carrier, required.

First Aid & CPR Certification
Food Handler’s Permit
Suicide Prevention & Crisis De‑Escalation Training
Anaphylaxis and Naloxone Trainings
Tuberculosis Screening/Testing
Additional InformationGrave shift is 9:30 pm to 7:30 am (overnight).
Weekday and Weekend positions needed.
