Job Summary
The Inventory Manager for HighPointe Surgery Center is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment. This role involves ensuring accurate tracking, ordering, and storage of inventory to support surgical procedures and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet the operational needs of the surgery center.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Control- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures specific to surgical supplies and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels within Envi, ensuring sufficient stock to meet surgical demands.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management software to track, manage, and optimize inventory.
- Forecast inventory needs based on historical data, surgical schedules, and organizational requirements.
- Place orders for inventory replenishment, ensuring timely delivery to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Oversee the proper storage and organization of surgical supplies and equipment in storage facilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for inventory storage.
- Coordinate the distribution of inventory to various surgical suites and departments within the surgery center.
- Implement efficient inventory handling and transportation methods to minimize costs and enhance productivity.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular inventory reports and present findings to senior management.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in inventory management technology.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and techniques specific to surgical supplies and equipment.
- Proficiency in using Envi inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- The position may involve occasional lifting and moving of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Requires working in storage facilities and operating room environments and may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
