** The Role*
* Proofpoint is looking for a Manager of a Business Development team.  This person will manage and grow a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for driving qualifying opportunities that build pipeline for the Commercial sales organization.  This individual will be a coach who has a deep understanding of how to overcome common obstacles and has a passion to teach others how to become a top performer.

** Your day-to-day*
* + Lead BDR team responsible for outbound prospecting and setting qualified opportunities

+ Lead weekly meeting reviews with BDR team as well as 1:1's

+ Measure and continually find ways to improve process and performance-Challenge status quo

+ Communicate with sales leadership to ensure the BDR team is meeting pipeline expectations

+ Build out predictable reporting/forecasting for the BDR team performance

+ Work with marketing to create and implement programs

+ Coach team in use of Salesforce, Outreach.io, Discover Org

+ Maintains a culture of accountability, hard work, and innovation for themselves and their team

** What you bring to the team*
* + 3+ Years of experience leading high-performing sales development team

+ 2+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS
