What is an associate attorney at Good Guys Injury Law?
Associate attorneys at Good Guys Injury Law work full-time, 40 hours/week. During that time, we expect associates to be diligent and productive. However, we are a family-friendly firm, and we try to minimize long hours. We want you to be able to go home at night to your family.
- Perform intake interviews with clients
- Evaluate cases to determine whether we can help potential clients
- Communicate with clients regularly
- Help manage medical treatment and ensure compliance with treatment recommendations
- Collaborate on cases in the office
- Prepare settlement demand packages
- Negotiate with insurance companies
- Take cases through litigation
- File complaints
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Take depositions
- Handle arbitrations
- Handle mediations
- Handle/assist with trials
- Strategic planning
- Hiring experts
- Attending pre-trial conferences
- Preparing clients and experts for deposition
- Assisting senior attorneys with their litigation cases
- Minor settlement hearings
- Evidentiary hearings
- Motion practice and hearings
- Manage client case files
- Negotiate subrogation interests
- Supervise and support the staff with whom you are working
- Constantly strive to improve through continued education (books, seminars, etc.)
- Work with and through case management software

We are a personal injury law firm in need of an associate attorney. This is a key position within the company with a large amount of responsibility. At Good Guys Injury Law, we help people who have sustained an injury because of the carelessness of another. Outstanding customer service is the motto by which we operate. Our goal is to simplify and de‑stress an already complicated process.
The right candidate must possess creativity, the ability to multitask, communicate, and have grit. The attorney needs the ability to independently problem‑solve, work within protocols, have a constant can‑do attitude, and, at times, a thick skin. As an attorney, you must be passionate about the purpose of the firm, have a passion for helping people, and be able to inspire and influence those around you.
- Membership in the Utah Bar
- 0-5 years of civil litigation experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage and supervise support staff as necessary
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a variety of other people
- Exceptional work ethic, high motivation, and eager willingness to work long hours when necessary
- No disciplinary record
- Must be able to pass a background check
Compensation will start at $85,000 and vary depending on experience. We also offer competitive health insurance benefits, disability benefits, and a 401(k) match.
