Product Manager - Comparative Rater

In this position, you will play a critical role in managing business decisions and rules regarding comparative raters. You will be responsible for vetting new comparative raters, API work, and prioritization. You will work with portfolio managers to draft business requirements and ensure effective execution of initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Work with internal teams to identify raters needing enhancements.
  • Lead all aspects of changes (identifying, planning, and delivery).
  • Ensure defaults are properly set.
  • Create project timelines and oversee delivery milestones for related initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate cross-departmental communications regarding new raters and changes.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and adjust as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Industry

    Experience:

    3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
  • Management

    Experience:

    2+ years managing teams and projects; proven positive leadership and ability to mentor and manage performance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product life cycles and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with form automation tools is a plus.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills; effective written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.

The office environment is fast‑paced and collaborative. Employees must be willing and able to work their regularly scheduled onsite hours, and may need to work extended hours depending on project or customer demands.

Standard duties include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Standard office equipment usage (computers, printers, phones) is required.
