Position OverviewSkilled mobile crushing operator responsible for the effective management of crusher and wash plant operations. Travel is required for this role. The position includes a rotating shift schedule and possible weekend shifts, and requires direct oversight of production and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversight of production and quality from the crusher and wash plant
- Responsible for maintenance of crusher
- Keep accurate time and material records
- Work to insure the safety of the operation and all employees
- Other duties as assigned per supervisor
- Rotating shift work and possible weekend shifts
Supervises 2 to 10 employees.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. At least 2 years of crushing operation experience and/or equivalent of both.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of database software.
- Standard Driver’s License is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of different aggregates
- Ability to speak a foreign language is a plus
- Prior management experience
Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders. Occasionally able to lift and/or move from 10 to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WorkEnvironment
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat. Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
