Second Shift Entry Level Assembler

Job Overview

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a manufacturing team member to assemble life‑saving medical devices in an environment focused on continuous improvement and safety.

Pay: $18.50 per hour, plus a 10% differential for working the 2nd shift.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 4:00PM–2:30AM; possible overtime on Friday.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English.
• Elementary‑level understanding of numerical functions.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Adherence to environmental, health, safety, and quality guidelines in a clean‑room medical‑device manufacturing setting.
• Ability to complete and retain training coursework and apply new and advanced work procedures.
• Capability to work independently with detailed manufacturing instructions.
• Team‑oriented; works with colleagues and supervisor.
• Effective feedback provision and reception based on sequential work reviews.
• Flexibility to work overtime to ensure continuous manufacturing processes.

• Use tools and equipment to assemble medical devices accurately and timely at each workstation, proficient in multiple operations.
• Follow work‑order instructions and drawings, use computers to navigate drawings, and enter parts status data.
• Perform inventory reconciliation at shift start and when transitioning to the next work order.
• Adhere to SOPs, record traceable device‑history information, and enter data into manufacturing data systems.
• Execute line clearance, including cleaning and sanitizing workstations at shift start and transition.
• Ensure all required components and tools are available for the build.
• Conduct self‑assessment and visual inspection under magnification, review colleague work, provide constructive feedback, and report issues or equipment changes to supervisor.
• Arrive on time, maintain regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and work a full 10‑hour shift.
• Perform incidental duties such as general housekeeping of the work area.
