AboutThe Role
We’re looking for a highly analytical Retention Marketing Manager to own performance strategy and optimization across email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing. This role will lead execution in Klaviyo while driving measurable improvements in repurchase rate, customer LTV, churn reduction, and cohort health across multiple brands. Success in this role requires strong analytical rigor, structured experimentation, and the ability to translate customer behavior into insights and action.
Key Responsibilities- Build, schedule, and optimize all email & SMS campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo, with an emphasis on performance and iteration.
- Own the email and SMS marketing calendar and ensure alignment across key initiatives, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Own retention marketing KPIs, including repurchase rate, LTV, churn, cohort health, revenue per send, engagement, and flow/campaign performance.
- Develop and execute the overall retention + LTV growth strategy, including segmentation, lifecycle optimization, and customer journey improvements.
- Lead a structured testing roadmap (A/B tests, holdouts, personalization tests), including hypotheses, measurement plans, and learnings.
- Analyze customer behavior and retention performance to uncover opportunities to deepen loyalty, increase repeat purchases, and reduce churn.
- Partner with merchandising to ensure campaigns feature the right products based on inventory, seasonality, and the marketing calendar.
- Create clear creative briefs and collaborate with Creative and E‑commerce to deliver on‑brand, conversion‑optimized assets.
- Review, QA, and provide feedback on campaign creative using tools like Figma, ensuring accuracy, merchandising alignment, and conversion readiness.
- Utilize marketing technology and AI tools to streamline workflow, accelerate testing velocity, and support performance optimization.
- Maintain a consistent campaign cadence aligned with launches, promotions, and brand priorities across multiple brands.
- Manage Yotpo review‑generation programs to increase UGC and strengthen PDP conversion.
- Report weekly on retention performance, highlighting trends, wins, risks, and clear next actions for leadership.
- Build and maintain reporting views/dashboards (as needed) to improve visibility into performance drivers, cohort health, and lifecycle contribution.
- Increased repurchase rates and improved customer LTV driven by measurable performance gains.
- High‑performing lifecycle flows and campaigns with clear contribution and continuous improvement.
- Strong seasonal, promotional, and product alignment across the retention calendar.
- Clear, actionable weekly reporting that leadership trusts and uses for decision‑making.
- Strong cross‑functional execution across retention, merchandising, and creative teams.
- 3+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle, CRM, or email/SMS marketing.
- Hands‑on experience with Klaviyo (able to build, launch, and optimize campaigns and flows end‑to‑end).
- Highly analytical and performance‑driven; comfortable with cohort analysis, retention KPIs, and segmentation performance.
- Experience using GA4 and retention dashboards/reporting tools to measure impact and identify opportunities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple brands and calendars simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with merchandising, creative, and e‑commerce teams.
- Detail‑oriented with strong QA discipline across creative, links, tracking, segmentation logic, and product accuracy.
