Compensation: $17-$18/hour | Full-Time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
As a Cook/Floater, you will provide versatile culinary support across multiple kitchen stations, ensuring consistent food quality and service. This role requires adaptability, strong cooking skills, and the ability to step into various positions as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations during peak hours, staff absences, or special events.
What You'll Do- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and procedures.
- Rotate between stations (grill, sauté, prep, pantry, etc.) based on daily staffing needs.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
- Support special events, catering, or high-volume service as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and hygiene protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and stations.
- High volume, catering, bar & grill, hot entree preparation experience preferred.
- Serv Safe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
