About the Role
Field‑based, project‑focused sales position responsible for identifying, developing, and closing commercial HVAC opportunities across the Wasatch Front and surrounding Utah markets.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships with commercial clients, general contractors, and decision‑makers across Utah.
- Identify opportunities for system replacements, retrofits, upgrades, and new construction projects.
- Develop and maintain a qualified project pipeline through proactive outreach and networking.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate equipment condition, system performance, and customer needs.
- Recommend turnkey HVAC solutions, including design‑build and energy‑efficient upgrades.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals outlining scope, pricing, timelines, and ROI.
- Partner with engineering, estimating, and project management teams to ensure accurate design and execution.
- Support projects through the sales‑to‑operations handoff to maintain client expectations.
- Track project progress and maintain alignment between client and internal teams.
- Stay current on Utah market conditions, energy standards, and HVAC technologies.
- Meet or exceed annual project sales targets and margin goals.
- Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and activity tracking within CRM systems.
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC project sales or mechanical sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and retrofit/replacement strategies.
- Proven ability to develop and close project‑based opportunities, not just service sales.
- Experience working with contractors, facility managers, and building owners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and longer sales cycles simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within Utah.
- Experience with design‑build or plan/spec project sales.
- Familiarity with Utah commercial construction and facilities market.
- Background in energy efficiency upgrades or high‑efficiency system solutions.
- Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
- Base salary + commission.
