We are currently seeking an experienced Incident Commander with high integrity and professionalism to join our team in the Bay Area. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of Shift Supervisors and Area Managers for our top Silicon Valley clients. In your day-to-day role as an Incident Commander, you will act as a liaison between Surefox and its clients while providing emergency response, performing all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations.
WhatYou Will Do
- Conduct patrols, monitor access, deter unauthorized entry, and enforce security measures.
- Collaborate with a Security Operations Center by responding to calls for service, reporting suspicious activity, security violations, and assisting with initial responses.
- Respond promptly and safely to emergencies, contact first responders as needed, and take initial action to control and secure a scene.
- Proactively investigate and report accidents, incidents, or other suspicious activity.
- Verify identification of employees, vendors, or guests and control access using badges or other credentials.
- Document security events, observations, and routine activity in detailed daily activity reports or incident reports.
- Perform light front desk duties: greet visitors, provide directions, verify access, and create a positive first impression.
- Assist employees and provide a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and clients.
- Build rapport with and foster a collaborative environment with workplace and facilities teams, employees, visitors, and clients.
- Proactively de‑escalate situations and address concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
- Work independently and adapt to varying work paces while remaining focused and energetic.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18 years per state licensing guidelines.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
- Live within driving distance or willingness to relocate.
- Current BSIS guard card or eligibility to qualify for one.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or eligibility to qualify.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Effective communication with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Good judgment and ability to make timely, sound decisions.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Military background is strongly preferred.
- Security or law‑enforcement related experience.
- Report writing experience.
We are not offering visa sponsorship for this position at this time. Base hourly rate – $25.00 per hour.
