Job Overview
Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is now hiring for a Pile Buck (Pile Driver) who is experienced in the installation of all size and dimensions of piles, including sheet, pipe and H pile. The Pile Buck is a valued member of our Piling and Shoring tight team and wears many hats such as Pile Driver, rigger, welder, heavy equipment operator, and driller.
Must have firm knowledge of differing soil types and their impact on the work performed, and an understanding of pile plans and survey to layout a job site to specifications. This role is 100% field work; travel is required when needed.

- Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structure and jobsite layout.
- Lay out worksite as needed.
- Determine sequence of activities for piling installation.
- Assign workers to daily tasks and manage production.
- Provide signals to cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as buildings, bridges, and piers.
- Effectively position and operate power hammers to drive pilings.
- Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding.
- Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, gas‑shielded arc, or stick arc welding equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment.
- Drive pilings to provide support for buildings or other structures using heavy equipment with a pile driver head.
- 3+ years of experience in tele‑handler or rough‑terrain forklift operation.
- 4+ years of experience working with cranes.
- 4+ years of experience working with, maintaining, and inspecting pile hammers, leads, lifting cables, and slings.
- 4+ years of experience in welding and cutting.
- 3+ years of being 3G & 4G certified for welding (Stick, Wire).
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Crane certifications is a plus.
