Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Infrastructure Technician keeps our fiber and wireless network alive and well. Our sites live in some unforgettable places — mountaintops, commercial rooftops, residential roofs — and getting to them is half the job. One day you're climbing a tower, the next you're hiking gear deep into the woods, and plenty of days you're racking up the miles with your crew, sharing the misery and the good stories from the truck.

No two days look the same, and that's exactly how we like it. This is a hands‑on, physical, field‑based role for someone who'd rather be out solving problems than sitting behind a desk.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service fiber and wireless network sites across the company's coverage area
  • Climb and build communication towers
  • Aim and align wireless backhaul links
  • Install and maintain DC and AC UPS systems
  • Run and terminate Cat 6 and fiber optic cabling
  • Install access points and business point‑to‑point links
  • Perform work safely at height on towers, pitched roofs, and flat roofs
  • Travel to and access remote sites, including driving in mountainous terrain and hiking to site locations
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network and site equipment
  • Participate in the on‑call rotation after the initial 90‑day period
  • Work independently and keep yourself productive once the training wheels come off
Qualifications
  • Comfortable working at heights — this one's non‑negotiable
  • Experience operating power tools
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly

Comfortable working on both pitched and flat roofs
  • Ability to work long and variable hours
  • A self‑starter who doesn't need to be told what to do next
  • Ability to walk or hike long distances, at times while carrying up to 50 lbs of gear
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tower climbing experience
  • Rigging experience
  • Ladder experience
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Towing experience
  • ATV operation experience
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of DC power plant systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Let's be straight: this job is physical. You'll be on your feet, climbing towers and ladders, hiking long distances over rough and uneven terrain, and hauling up to 50 lbs of gear — sometimes all in the same day. Work happens outdoors in every kind of weather, at remote sites that can take real driving and hiking just to reach. You should be in solid physical shape and genuinely at home working outside and up high.
