Window and Exterior Cleaning

About the Role:

8228 Drone Works is looking for a sharp, hands‑on Field Technician to run point on our job sites. This isn't a stand‑and‑watch role — you'll drive the crew to site, set up and manage the water, generator, and pump equipment, mix and apply cleaning chemicals correctly for the surface being treated, and keep the site safe for the pilot, the crew, and the public.

You'll also be the face of the company with property managers and customers on‑site, so how you communicate matters as much as how you work.

We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be told twice — who spots the more efficient way to run a job, catches problems before they become expensive, and keeps the office looped in on status and issues without being asked.

• Drive the company van to and from job sites; perform routine van maintenance and pre-/post-trip checks
• Set up and operate water supply, generator, and pump systems for each job
• Mix and apply pressure washing / exterior cleaning chemicals at the correct ratio for the material being cleaned (concrete, stucco, brick, roofing, siding, etc.)
• Protect customer property before washing — cover or move plants, vehicles, furniture, and anything else in the splash zone

• Set up traffic cones, signage, and safety zones to keep the pilot, crew, and public safe
• Serve as ground support for the drone pilot — maintain visual line of sight, communicate hazards, and help the pilot stay within safe operating boundaries
• Follow OSHA guidelines for chemical handling (Hazard Communication Standard / SDS), PPE, ladder and fall safety, and generator/electrical safety
• Contain and properly manage wash water runoff — many Utah municipalities restrict chemical or debris runoff into storm drains, and this is on you to get right

• Meet with property managers and customers on‑site; represent the company professionally
• Communicate clearly and proactively with the pilot and crew throughout the job
• Update management on job status, delays, and any issues in real time — don't let us find out after the fact
• Take before/after photos for quality control and job documentation

• Must be at least 25 years old — this role requires driving the company van, and our commercial auto insurance requires drivers to be 25+
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience in exterior pressure washing or exterior cleaning
  , including knowledge of chemical types and mixing ratios for different materials
• Ability to pass a background check
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods, in varying weather, and on ladders
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A proactive mindset — someone who looks for the most efficient way to get a job done rather than waiting to be told
• Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings or weekends

• Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and proper PPE selection by chemical type
• Basic ladder and fall‑protection safety training
• Flagger certification for roadside work (state‑issued)
• Basic first aid / CPR
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, or interest in earning one — we support techs who want to grow into piloting
