, you ensure millions of packages load onto trucks before dispatch cutoff times.
Work on the dock is rugged and exposed to outdoor elements as massive dock doors open and close to accommodate 53‑foot semi‑trailers. The pace is relentless, governed by strict departure schedules.
Core Operational Duties- High-Volume Fluid Loading: Build “walls” of boxes inside empty semi‑trailers, lifting, twisting, and stacking packages to maximize cubic volume and secure the load.
- Heavy Material Handling: Operate manual pallet jacks and powered walkie‑riders to transport shrink‑wrapped pallets weighing hundreds of pounds into outbound trucks.
- Yard & Dock Safety: Enforce the “Circle of Safety,” ensuring trailers are locked to dock doors with glad‑hands and wheel chocks before entry.
