Must-Have

Infusion Center experience

Outpatient Oncology experience

Administration of chemotherapy experience

Body fluid handling post-chemotherapy experience

Continuous infusion of chemotherapy experience IV push administration of chemotherapy experience

Management/disposal of cytotoxic spills experience

Monitoring chemotherapy experience

Oral administration of chemotherapy experience

Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values experience

Accessing ports experience

Care and management of ports experience

Central line blood draw experience

Central line/implanted line care experience

Infusion pump management experience

Intravenous hydration/multivitamins experiencePICC line care experience

Starting IVs experience

Phlebotomy skills experience

Patient/family education and support experience

Description:

Infusion RN for outpatient clinic.

Travelers will work alongside over 95 other RNs across various departments.

No on-call duties are required.

Weekends and floating to sister units are required.

Experience with various types of cancer care is preferred, including Bladder, Kidney, Brain, Breast, Colorectal, Leukemia, and Lung cancers.

Nursing responsibilities include managing chemotherapy administration, recognizing and managing side effects, and providing patient education.

Proficient communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient interaction.

Strong critical thinking and clinical skills are necessary for assessing and addressing patient needs.

Familiarity with Epic documentation is beneficial.

Experience with the management of chemotherapy-related complications is preferred.

Candidates should be committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients.
