R&D Intern

This entry-level role will work onsite full-time on a variety of moderately complex projects providing support for the R&D Department.

Prolacta Bioscience is a privately held life sciences company that has touched the lives of more than 100,000 premature infants worldwide. The company specializes in human milk‑based nutritional products and employs over 300 people globally, many of whom have dedicated their lives to neonatal care.

• Support research and perform biological or chemical assays per the established procedures or guidelines (such as ELISA, SDS‑PAGE, particle‑size analyzer and others).
• Compile and analyze experimental data.
• Support ongoing product characterization, stability study, and data analysis.
• Perform study tasks to support R&D and/or Operations projects, including writing summary reports.
• Write protocols or summary reports.
• Perform documentation change request.
• Prepare, ship, and track samples to external laboratories or sites.

• Enrolled (junior/senior) or newly graduated from accredited colleges or universities with good academic standing.
• Majoring in Biological Science, Chemistry, Food Science or Engineering (bio/chemical) degree.
• MUST have prior experience with engineering, chemistry, or biology laboratory (e.g., laboratory courses).
• Flexible work hours, including some mandatory early morning and late‑night shifts.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Attention to detail.
• Self‑motivation, adaptability, organization, and a positive attitude.
• Good written and oral communication.
