Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets within the events industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding existing client accounts and acquiring new clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing innovative solutions to exceed their expectations.
- Lead and manage the sales team, setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies and seamless event delivery.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, preparing regular reports and presenting findings to senior management.
- Stay current with industry developments, attend conferences, networking events, and participate in relevant professional associations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales role within the events industry, with a strong track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
- In-depth knowledge of the events industry, including trends, best practices, and key players.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
