Stock Controller
As a Stock Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the inventory of a company. Your main objective is to ensure accurate inventory records and maintain the optimal level of stock required to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular stock audits, forecasting demands, and coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless inventory operations.
The role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to use inventory management software efficiently. You will also address discrepancies, analyze inventory performance, and recommend improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency within the supply chain.
- Conduct regular and accurate stock audits to maintain inventory integrity.
- Forecast inventory demands to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with procurement to manage stock replenishments and supply delivery.
- Monitor stock usage rates and address any discrepancies or shortages timely.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize the risk of stock discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using specialized inventory management software.
- Analyze inventory performance data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth operations.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management and stakeholders regularly.
- Liaise with sales and marketing to adjust stock levels based on sales forecasts.
- Manage stock allocation to different departments and branches efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role in retail.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate forecasting.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are necessary for success.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
