Role Purpose

The Senior Manager - Commercial Planning & Pricing will establish and lead a centralized Commercial Planning & Pricing function across Tradeling and Axiom. The role is responsible for driving revenue optimization, pricing strategy, financial predictability, and performance management through data-driven insights. This function is critical following the merger with Axiom, expansion into new markets and revenue streams, and increased shareholder expectations tied to ambitious growth plans.

The role will ensure structured planning, disciplined execution, and sustained profitable growth aligned with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Planning & Forecasting

    Develop and own a comprehensive revenue planning framework across Tradeling and Axiom at both macro and micro levels.

    Drive Detailed Revenue Segmentation Across:
    Horizontal dimensions: SKUs, brands, business units, categories, customer segments, geographies. Vertical dimensions:
    Digital, conventional retail, export, B2B, and omnichannel.

    Ensure plans are grounded in historical performance, market trends, competitive dynamics, and internal growth targets.

    Ensure revenue plans are realistic, achievable, and executable by business teams.

  • Path to Profitability & Business Optimization

    Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities to improve revenue and margins across existing streams.

    Lead initiatives to enhance profitability, including pricing optimization and commercial efficiency programs.

    Assess financial viability of new business opportunities, revenue streams, and ventures to ensure sustainable growth.

  • Pricing & Promotions Strategy

    Design and optimize pricing structures to maximize sales, margins, and competitive positioning.

    Evaluate the financial impact of discounts, promotions, coupons, and campaigns across digital and offline channels.

    Optimize markdown and clearance strategies to balance inventory turnover and profitability.

  • Performance Management & Analytics

    Establish robust KPI frameworks and performance dashboards across channels and business units.

    Conduct profitability analysis at project, product, customer, and channel levels.

    Identify underperforming segments and develop corrective action plans in partnership with business teams.

    Track channel-level contribution to overall profitability and budget efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Decision Support & Governance

    Build and maintain a data-driven decision-support framework for commercial and strategic initiatives.

    Provide financial evaluation and control mechanisms for current and new projects.
