Position: Carrier Manager - 4PL (Air, Ocean & Transportation)

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Carrier Manager to join our Robinson Managed Solutions (RMS) 4PL division in Dubai.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our growing presence in the region and help strengthen our capabilities from the ground up.

As Carrier Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our customer’s carriers, responsible for building strong partnerships, monitoring performance, and driving continuous service improvements. You will act as the customer’s representative, ensuring clear communication and seamless collaboration throughout the logistics process.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor overall carrier compliance including EDI adherence and routing guide compliance
  • Publish and interpret scorecards and service metrics (tender acceptance, OTD, dwell, claims)
  • Manage carrier escalations; implement corrective actions
  • Maintain master data (lanes, service attributes) with high accuracy
  • Work to continuously improve carrier management processes
  • Support customer on large RFP exercises
  • Participate in procurement projects including, but not limited to, data extraction, analysis, formatting, and presentation of rates and data related to pricing requests
  • Provide market and network insights to account management team
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of core procurement experience in Air, Ocean & Transportation
  • Strong analytical skills including root cause analysis
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with carrier monitoring and compliance processes
  • Professional experience in Logistics, and/or Supply Chain domain
  • Exceptional facilitation skills including but not limited to relationship management, presentation, documentation and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels within customer organization (both written and verbal)
    Ability to identify, understand and execute based on market trends and pricing strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Skilled in interpreting KPIs and compliance metrics
  • Advanced Excel and data visualization
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)
