AboutThe Role
At Dyson, precise demand forecasting sits at the heart of our supply strategy—and you’ll lead the charge. As Market Demand Planner, you’ll act as the impartial voice in the room, steering a cross‑functional team to truly understand and forecast what customers want. You’ll “bring the outside in,” turning market insight into accurate, SKU‑level forecasts that our Supply team uses to get the right products to the right places, at the right time.
- Drive the adoption of a best‑in‑class operating model for demand planning
- Lead local S&OP process, in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Coordinate demand planning and budgeting processes, including leading the local Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
- Develop bottom‑up demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales and marketing inputs.
- Analyse demand patterns andidentifykey factorsimpactingfluctuations.
- Hold responsibility for overall forecast accuracy, lead root cause analysis for deviations, and drive action plans for improvement.
- Maintain and communicate relevant performance KPIs, focusing on root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and meaningful reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify and lead initiatives for process improvement, support technology adoption, and build a network to share and apply best practices across markets.
- Balance multiple priorities seamlessly, demonstrating agility and focus to deliver high‑quality results within Dyson’s demanding timelines.
You’ll excel in this role if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field
- At least four years’ hands‑on experience in demand planning or supply chain management
- Deep understanding of demand planning, with proven results in complex, fast‑paced environments
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, paired with expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and demand planning software
- Experience leading and transforming processes, with a passion for challenging the status quo
- A track record of driving continuous improvement and solving problems proactively
- Resilience under pressure—you keep a clear head and a practical attitude when things get tough
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate numbers into actionable insights for any audience
- The ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a culture of innovation and change
