The primary function of the Indirect Procurement Category Manager EMEA – Professional Services & IT is to manage designated categories of indirect spend within the EMEA region, ensuring an uninterrupted and timely supply at the optimum cost and quality that satisfies stakeholder requirements and company goals. This includes supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management. Designated categories under Professional Services & IT (e.g., HR, Office Products, IT, Finance, Legal).

The position is responsible for the definition and deployment, in conjunction with key stakeholders across all business groups, of the sourcing strategy for the designated categories across all countries in EMEA. It also manages regional selection and relationship building with key suppliers, ensures effective program management of designated categories within the region, and drives year‑over‑year reduction in overall total cost of ownership.

What

you’ll do
  • Provide regional leadership, management and oversight for the designated Professional Services & IT categories (total ~$80m spend) in the EMEA region.
  • Under the leadership of the EMEA Professional Services & IT Procurement Lead, develop, align and deploy effective key category strategies with business unit stakeholders and Corporate GPO Global Category Leads, positively impacting associated annual category spend.
  • Deliver an annual cost out into the business P&L and drive cost avoidance of inflationary and discretionary spending items (where appropriate), impacting total cost of ownership (TCO) for assigned categories and increasing leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners.
  • Deliver working cost improvement across the supply base on an annual basis (total ~$80m spend).
  • Define and document a Preferred Supplier List and contracts roadmap, working collaboratively with business units to convert spend to either ‘strategic’ or ‘approved’ supply base, creating and leveraging a rationalized supply base that covers the majority of spend and is managed at a strategic level.
  • Lead and occasionally support RFP/RFQ exercises on supported categories and sub‑categories, coordinating with all regions and managing projects until deployment is fully executed.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the deployment of common standards and best practice.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in indirect procurement and/or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of indirect procurement of Professional Services & IT (e.g., HR, Office Products, IT, Finance, Legal) is a must.
  • Regional experience in EMEA, especially in Europe.
  • Experience with procurement tools such as spend analysis, contracts database, supplier management systems, and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba).

  • Strong negotiation skills, contracting experience, and customer orientation.
