Responsibilities
- Purchase civil construction materials and MEP materials.
- Send enquiries to potential suppliers.
- Prepare comparison sheets and evaluate proposals.
- Negotiate prices and payment terms and coordinate with accounts.
- Select qualitative and competitive suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure purchased materials meet superior quality requirements.
- Arrange materials submittals for consultant and client approval as per tender documents.
- Maintain a database of suppliers and record their performance history.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with established procedures.
- Issue local purchase orders with specifications and information noted in the requisition using the ERP system.
- Ensure delivered materials are of quality in coordination with the storekeeper.
- Update the supplier database.
- Handle purchases of stationery and pantry items for sites and head office.
- Arrange air tickets as per the HR department request.
- Handle purchases for all head office requisitions.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Purchase Officer in vehicles, equipment spare parts, and materials, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE.
